Nestled in the heart of Queens, the hotel provides a unique culinary journey that merits attention. Upon my arrival, I was pleasantly surprised by the spacious sea view room, where comfort met traditional charm. After settling in, I headed to the restaurant, which exudes an inviting ambiance-ideal for solo diners and couples alike. The dinner service offered a three-course freshly cooked menu, complete with vegetarian and vegan options. I opted for the classic shepherd's pie, accompanied by a rich gravy, followed by a delightful sticky toffee pudding. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, showcasing familiar British flavors with a contemporary twist. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that my dining experience remained fluid. Interestingly, the breakfast could use some refinement-a lack of variety marred the experience, however, the porridge stood out as a comforting choice. For any food enthusiast seeking comfort and a taste of traditional cuisine, this hotel certainly hits the spot.
